I’m excited to say that my original watercolor painting A Farmhouse I Saw in Virginia was one of only 100 paintings chosen from a field of thousands of excellent entries for North Light’s latest Splash book. The new book, Splash 12: Celebrating Artistic Vision is tentatively scheduled for publication May of 2011. I’ll post new information about it as I receive it. As most of you already know we have spent the last week moving into a new home and we’re finally beginning to see the last of our packing boxes. Most everything has been unpacked and I’m now in the process of setting up a new studio so that I may finally begin painting again. I started a new oil painting just before we began our move and I’m in hopes of having it completed soon.
The photo I took while traveling through the beautiful Virginia countryside of an old blue farmhouse was my inspiration for A Farmhouse I Saw in Virginia.
