Painting wins Paul Schwartz Memorial Award

I’m pleased to say that my painting This Way to the Vineyard has received the Paul Schwartz Memorial Award in the American Watercolor Society’s 143rd International Exhibition. The award will be presented April 30th, 2010 at the Salmagundi Club in New York City.

The American Watercolor Society was organized in 1866 to promote the art of watercolor painting in America. Former members included Winslow Homer, Edward Hopper, Charles Burchfield and Childe Hassam. Today the American Watercolor Society exhibition promotes contemporary watercolor artists from around the world and attracts thousands of visitors each year.
