Greenwood, Virginia inspires new watercolor painting

This Way to the Vineyard 18x24 Original Watercolor Painting

While traveling through Virginia we came upon a sign that read Greenwood pointing to a country road which we decided to explore. We saw rolling hills with distant farms and about 2 miles in we came upon a beautiful vineyard. The next day we followed the scenic Skyline Drive and saw more spectacular scenery. Virginia is even more beautiful than I had imagined. I have included images of the paintings progress for those who may be interested. Even though it cannot be seen in the photo, the vineyard is just around the bend so I took artistic license and painted it as I envisioned.
